Automated DNA Sequencing
This section of my career, circa 1995-2005, was linked to high through put projects underpinned by operation of Sanger Sequencing fluorescent DNA sequencing platforms, e.g., ABI 377, Amersham MegaBace & ABI 3700, which were used respectively to sequence short read plasmids, PCR products and cDNA constituting an array of sequencing projects (Manchester, 1995-2000 and Rubicon Genomics, 2001-2002) and both BAC library derived shot gun clones in the case of de novo sequencing of the mouse genome (New York Genome Sequencing centre) and PCR products associated with introgressed regions (QTLs) in rat models of hypertension to mine causative SNPs (University of Leicester, 2002-2005).
